It is an integrated software for the Mechanical Design of Process Plant Equipment and covers design of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Reactors, Agitator Shaft, Columns, MS Chimneys and API Storage Tanks. The software covers mechanical design as per various national & international design codes like ASME Sec. VIII Div 1, TEMA, EN 13445, IS 2825, API 650, API 620, IBR Act, IS 6533 etc.
These software products are a reflection of the hands-on EXPERIENCE gathered by our team while providing plant engineering services to our various customers for over 25 YEARS since 1987.

The software supports the concept of a model, where the user defines the main features of the model. The user can specify the design data in a common design data input dialog. This data is then used globally in the design of the model and thus all components. If the required input data are not provided, wherever possible, the software uses best possible estimates for these data values. The model concept ensures dimensional transferability, which in turn ensures dimensional consistency between various components. For instance, any changes to the shell diameter are automatically reflected in the Dished End closures or say Support Saddles.
Secondly, the inbuilt intelligence in the software generates all information by itself. For instance for in case of let us say a body flange, the software evaluates all the undefined parameters Flange OD, Flange ID, PCD, Number and Size of bolts, Gasket OD & ID, etc. meeting the requirements of specified equipment design code. In case of any changes to the interconnected shell geometry and / or design conditions (pressure / temperature) including material of constructions, these dimensions automatically regenerated by the software to meet the new requirements.
The user makes changes in the common design data and redesigns the entire model, the resulting effect is reflected on all the components automatically.
Many component systems such as saddle supports etc. are extracted from the database as per standards and then applied to the equipment. The design process ensures adequacy of each of the components and in case any parameter or thickness is found to be inadequate, appropriate corrections are applied.
Also, the software decides on the method of calculation and code clauses to be applied based on input data and selected design code.
Last, but not the least, the user can build common required equipment models and save such models in the database. If there is a similar process equipment requirement, the user can retrieve the existing model, change bare minimum parameters and generate a new design.
The above features reduce the user interaction and design time. Thus the user can study the behaviour of the model under various conditions easily and effectively.
One can prepare mechanical design of equipment with unmatched design speed; it takes between 10 to 15 minutes only to design complicated equipment such as a Heat Exchanger or a Column or an API Storage Tank. Thus, you can prepare final design and their documentation at the time of preparing estimates for quotation purposes. This you can achieve with our software without spending any extra efforts in terms of time and money.
And, most importantly unlike in other software products, one need not be a hardcore designer to design and/or obtain estimates using this software.
Generally, the order conversion rate of the order of 10% – 20% is considered to be good. In short when one quotes for 100 equipment, one is expected to get 10 to 20 confirmed orders. Thus quotation making process has to be efficient in terms of the time spent and cost of preparing the same. This double whammy of time and cost constraints coupled with expected accuracy of the final quoted price makes costing a most important aspect in the engineering industry. And, of course the price accuracy is dependent on the design accuracy. The effects of wrong quotation need no elaboration here.
This software has inbuilt intelligence which provides accurate design with minimum user inputs which coupled with the integrated costing module helps in generating quick and accurate cost estimates.
The most important aspect of any design software is generation of design reports. The reports produced should be self explanatory and should meet the documentation requirements for obtaining approval from designated third party approving agencies. In short no black box type of approach is acceptable, wherein the software just provides the final output values without explanation of the intermediately steps.
The package provides detailed design calculations with relevant code clauses and formulae. It has the optional facility of printing output on paper or saving the designs into named files. The output of the software is in the form of html sheets. These design outputs can be checked easily by any engineer / third party consultants, manually. Thus approval of designs can be obtained quickly. This automatic generation of high quality documentation supports ISO process at customer’s end.
